Tenor Piotr Beczala’s Heart’s Delight, The Songs of Richard Tauber has gone Gold

Polish operatic tenor Piotr Beczała known worldwide for the singular beauty of his tone, his first solo project Heart’s Delight, as an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist has gone Gold in his native Poland on the first day of its release. Australia’s Limelight magazine with a rave review, saying: “Piotr Beczala is as near perfect a guide in this repertoire as you could hope for … Beczala is stylistically spot-on, never crossing the boundary from homage to parody … if, like me, you are a fan of Richard Tauber, or if you just want to hear the best tenor since Nicola Geddai in this repertoire, you really must buy the album.” The disc ‘The Songs of Richard Tauber’ includes a track in which Beczala is heard in duet with Tauber in “Du bist die Welt für mich” (“You are the world for me”).
